Wedding Photography at The Wellington Arms with Lucy & Brandon
I recently spent a day with Lucy and Brandon for their wedding photography at The Wellington Arms in Stratfield Turgis, near Basingstoke. The weather wasn’t the best, but it didn’t dampen their spirits and it was lovely to spend the day with them. The rain lasted most of the day, but we managed to get outside between the showers for some photos. Here is a small selection from a very enjoyable day of wedding photography at The Wellington Arms.

Pre-Wedding Photos at Pamber Heath with Lucy & Brandon
I met Lucy and Brandon for some pre-wedding photos at Pamber Heath one afternoon a few weeks before their wedding at the Wellington Arms. We had a walk through the forest, discussing the wedding day and taking some photos until rain stopped play. Here are a few of the pre-wedding photos from Pamber Heath.
Wedding Photography at Oakley Hall – Amaar & Christine
I had a lovely day recently doing Amaar and Christine’s wedding photography at Oakley Hall. I’ve spend many days at this great venue during my years as a wedding photographer, but none quite like this before. This was my first outdoor wedding ceremony at Oakley Hall and the first time I got to photograph the bride and groom in two different wedding outfits during the day.
Amaar and Christine chose to wear beautiful traditional Pakistani wedding outfits for the afternoon ceremony and meal, then changed into elegant Chinese outfits for the evening. When they were both ready, we did some first look photos and then a few more before the guests started to sit down for the ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the Woodland Pavilion overlooking the beautiful grounds at the back of Oakley Hall. Then everyone moved into the Garden Pavilion for group photos, speeches and the meal. When the happy couple had changed into their evening outfits, we had another short photo shoot before they re-joined their guests. The evening included another first for me with the chance to photograph a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. After this, the party got into full swing with everybody up on the dance floor before the day ended with a spectacular firework display.
Here are a few of my favourite shots from a special day at Oakley Hall.
Oh, Ian, you’ve got some crackers here! Some really beautiful ones at the culmination of the ceremony, and I laughed out loud at that pose on the dance floor. Well done!
Wedding Photography at Warbrook House Hotel with Becky & Steve
It had been a few years since I’d done any wedding photography at Warbrook House Hotel, so it was great to return there recently for Becky and Steve’s big day. The grey clouds when I arrived in the morning gave no hint of the scorcher of a day to come. By the time the guests arrived, there was hardly a cloud to be seen and it stayed that way for the rest of the day.
My day of wedding photography at Warbrook House Hotel started with a few shots of the venue, followed by bridal preparations. The Morning Room and its conservatory provided plenty of space and light for Becky and her bridesmaids to get ready. When it was time for the ladies to get into their dresses, I went to meet Steve and his groomsmen for some photos. Sunglasses were definitely the order of the day and the guys were happy to get into the shade of a large tree to try and stay cool in their wedding suits.
The wedding ceremony was held outside in a beautiful setting by a small gazebo in the gardens next to the hotel. Then it was time for some welcome cold drinks and some group photos in the shade of a big willow tree. Warbrook House certainly provides some stunning backdrops for wedding photography. Not least of these is a signature shot from the end of a lake with a view of the house in the distance. We took a walk to get this unmissable photo before the happy couple joined their guests for the speeches and wedding breakfast.
This was a very enjoyable days work with some lovely people in a beautiful setting. Here is a small selection of the photos.
Pre-Wedding Photos At Oakley Hall with Amaar & Christine
I met Amaar and Christine on a very pleasant Friday morning for their pre-wedding photo shoot at Oakley Hall. Their Oakley Hall wedding has crept up fast and is now less than a week away. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many weddings at Oakley Hall in the past, but this one promises to be a bit different. If the weather forecasts prove accurate, then this will be my first outdoor ceremony at Oakley Hall. The wedding will also include some styling and traditions from the couples respective family cultural heritages.
We spent a fun hour or so walking around the stunning Oakley Hall grounds. We captured some pre-wedding photos and chatted about the plan for the big day. As is often the case with many couples, Christine and Amaar looked visibly more relaxed in front of the camera towards the end of the photo shoot than when we started. Here are a few of my favourite photos.
