Wedding Photography at Highfield Park with Amanda & Nathan

Wedding Photography at Highfield Park

Earlier this month, I had a very enjoyable day doing Amanda and Nathan’s wedding photography at Highfield Park. The ceremony was held outside at the pavilion in the beautiful grounds of Highfield Park. The weather teased us with a few spots of rain just as the wedding was about to start, but it only lasted a minute or two and the rest of the day was dry and mostly sunny.

Highfield Park is a 17th century manor house surrounded by beautiful views of the North Hampshire countryside and provides some lovely backdrops for wedding photography. The fine weather allowed the happy couple and their guests to spend a good part of the day outside enjoying the hotel grounds and some games on the lawn helped keep the kids entertained.

After the cake was cut and the dancing was well underway, I left them all to party the night away. Here is a small selection of photos from the day.

Pre-Wedding Photos with Bluebells in Basingstoke

Pre-Wedding Photos in Basingstoke – Becky & Steve

Becky and Steve’s wedding is coming up in July at Warbrook House Hotel in Eversley. Last week we took an early evening walk to some bluebell woods near Basingstoke for their pre-wedding photoshoot. With the sun going down, it was quite dark under the trees and the perfect scenario for some off camera flash lighting. If you keep walking you come to a clearing in the woods which had a carpet of bluebells, making a lovely colourful backdrop for portrait photography. Becky and Steve are relaxed and natural in front of the camera and I’m looking forward to photographing them again at their wedding.

Here are a few more of their pre-wedding photos.

Pre-Wedding Photos by Basingstoke Canal

Pre-Wedding Photos by Basingstoke Canal – Amanda & Nathan

It’s so nice to have some weddings to look forward to again after all the restrictions of the past two years. Amanda and Nathan are getting married at Highfield Park in June and we recently did a pre-wedding photoshoot by the Basingstoke Canal. We spent an hour or so walking beside the canal and around Odiham Common, having a chat and taking some photos.

I could see that Amanda and Nathan were much more relaxed in front of the camera by the end of the photoshoot than at the start, and that is very often the case. This is why I think that a pre-wedding or engagement photoshoot is worth doing. Here are a few of my favourite pre-wedding photos and I’m looking forward to the big day now in June.

Wedding Photographer at Tylney Hall

Wedding Photographer at Tylney Hall | Caroline & Carl

For many years as a Basingstoke wedding photographer, I’ve always enjoyed the opportunity to work at Tylney Hall. This beautiful venue has so much to offer from a wedding photography point of view. Tylney Hall is certainly one of my favourite wedding venues in the Basingstoke area.

Caroline and Carl are a lovely couple with a great sense of humour. We’d already had a fun time with their engagement photos at Virginia Water and I had been looking forward to their wedding at Tylney Hall. It would have been a pleasure to be their wedding photographer anywhere, but being at Tylney Hall and the way they planned the day made it extra special.

My day started in the morning with some outside shots of the venue, followed by bridal prep photos with Caroline and her bridesmaids. Carl and his best man had a few photos around the stunning gardens and I captured shots of the guests arriving and enjoying pre-wedding drinks. After some portraits of the bridal party it was time for the ceremony in the magnificent wood panelled Tylney Suite.

We made use of the stunning Italian Garden for some photos of the happy couple and their guests before everybody made their way to the Chestnut Suite for the reception. During the meal the guests had a surprise treat with a fantastic performance by the singing waiters from Encore Entertainment. After the meal, I got some more photos with Caroline and Carl in the early evening light, before they danced the night away to the sounds of a brilliant live band.

Here are just a few selections from a very enjoyable days work at Tylney Hall.

Engagement Photo Shoot at Virginia Water | Caroline & Carl

Before their wedding at Tylney Hall near Basingstoke, I met Caroline and Carl at Virginia Water for some engagement photos. We had some lovely early evening sunlight and enjoyed a walk around the lake taking photos and having a few laughs. Here are some of my favourites.
