Wedding Photography in Ireland | Catriona & Neil

Wedding Photography in Ireland

Sally and I had the great pleasure of spending the weekend at the fabulous Station House Hotel, in Kilmessan, Ireland for the wedding of our good friends Catriona and Neil. Performing the job of wedding photographer for friends may bring a bit of added pressure, but it also has the advantage that we get to spend a lot more time with the happy couple during the whole day than we would as guests. This was a really beautiful wedding. The venue is a former railway station, set in 12 acres of manicured gardens and woodland. The outdoor ceremony was held in what was once a train turntable in a clearing in the woods, which makes a magical setting for a wedding. The weather was also perfect.

There are plenty of great photo opportunities in the grounds of the hotel, but we also had access to the nearby ruins of Bective Abbey for some shots of the bride and groom after they’d had a short ride in a Rolls Royce. Afterwards, it was back to the hotel for the wedding breakfast in another converted historic railway building. Being guests as well as wedding photographers, we joined more friends for the meal and partied into the early hours to the sounds of the excellent wedding band, The Vinyls.

Here are some highlights from a really special day.

Callum and Laura were married in St Leonard’s Church at Sherfield English, near Romsey, on the May bank holiday weekend. Afterwards, they took a ride in their vintage Rolls Royce to the grounds of a nearby school for some photos, before heading back to their reception in the brides parents garden. Here are a few highlights from the day.

It was a bright and sunny autumn day for the wedding of Suzanne and John at Donnington Grove in Newbury. We’d been looking forward to this day for a long time, as this well organised couple had booked me as their wedding photographer about a year and a half ago. The whole day went perfectly and we couldn’t have asked for better weather in late October. Donnington Grove is a wonderful venue for wedding photography with beautiful large grounds and plenty of picturesque features. Here are a few highlights from the day.

Engagement Shoot in Romsey | Laura & Callum

Laura and Callum are getting married near Romsey in Hampshire next spring and we got together recently to discuss plans for the big day. We also shot some engagement photos around the lovely garden at Laura’s parents home. Here are a few of my favourites.
