Lydia & Mark – Wedding Photography at Basingstoke Country Hotel

The sun was shining on the Barcelo Basingstoke Country Hotel for the wedding of Lydia & Mark. Photography started when I met Mark and his sons outside the hotel, shortly before the wedding. Then it was time to get a few detail shots and photos of the guests arriving, before taking a few portraits of Lydia and her mother in the courtyard. Both ladies looked stunning as they linked arms and walked into the ceremony room for the wedding.

After the wedding ceremony and a few photos in the courtyard and around the hotel, I left them to enjoy their wedding breakast and celebrate into the evening.

Here are a few shots from the day – family and friends can see the full set on Lydia and Mark’s private gallery.

Vicky & Mat – Wedding Photography at Hook House Hotel

Vicky and Mat’s wedding was at Hook House Hotel, a very attractive grade II Georgian listed building with beautiful lawned grounds and a lovely walled garden outside the marquee. It certainly provides plenty of opportunities for a wedding photographer and the weather was kind to us on the day. After a few showers early on, the clouds cleared and when Vicky and Mat walked out from the ceremony as husband and wife, the sun was shining on them.

It was a lovely happy day, everything went according to plan and everyone seemed to be having fun. Thanks Vicky and Mat, it was a real pleasure to be your wedding photographer. Here are a few previews of your photos, with lots more to come soon.:)

Nicola & Alistair – Wedding Photography at Warbrook House Hotel

The attractive Georgian architecture and beautiful grounds of Warbrook House in Eversley provided the setting for Nicola and Alistair’s big day. The bride, groom and some of their family had been previous portrait customers, so it was nice to see them all again on such a happy occasion. The weather behaved well enough to allow photography in the stunning grounds, including the superb view of the hotel from the far end of the lake.

Here are a few previews.

Sophie & Gareth – Wedding Photography at Audleys Wood

Audleys Wood was the venue for the wedding of Sophie and Gareth, my eighth and final one for August and, compared to most of the month, the weather was pretty good. Photography of the day began with bridal preparations in the Jane Austen suite, overlooking the beautiful gardens at the front of the hotel, where Sophie did very well to remain calm while getting both herself and young pageboy Charlie ready for the wedding.

After the ceremony, the happy couple and their guests enjoyed a glass of bubbly in the gardens, before a quick dash back inside to avoid the inevitable shower. The rain didn’t last long though and we were able to complete most of the photography outside. Then it was time for the celebrations to start and I left them all to sit down and enjoy their meal in the marquee.

Here are a few preview shots from the day.

Sarah & Paul – Wedding Photography in Kent

Sarah and Paul’s wedding in Gravesend meant an early start to avoid any possible travel problems on the M25, but the journey was trouble free and the weather was fine. After an early trip to the hairdresser, Sarah finished her preparations at her parents home and that is where photography of the day started. After some portraits in the garden, it was just a short drive to Christ Church to meet Paul and his groomsmen. Sarah is my wife Sally’s cousin and it was nice to see a lot of familiar faces at the wedding. After the service, the happy couple were driven to their reception at The Inn on the Lake in a white Barnsdale Saloon, while the bridesmaids followed in a Daimler 7 seater limosine. As with all of my recent weddings, there was some rain, but it did stay away for most of the day and didn’t hamper the photography.

Here are a few shots from the day.
